Melbourne Ballet Company

Collaborators

Christopher Harrison
Christopher started composing electronic music while he was at high school. He started off playing live sets at rave parties, and always experimented with less conventional methods and structures. Christoper has established his own style and sound using synthersizers and drum machines, resisting the trend of using computer software to create his music.

In 2007, Christopher began collaborating with various choreographers to create soundscapes specifically for dance pieces. His first major project made it's debut in late 2007, working with choreographers, Simon Hoy and Tim Podesta for Projection Dance Company's "Chameleon Project".

In 2008, Christopher was invited to compose an original score for the Melbourne Ballet Company, as part of Project Two, for a piece called "Zipped".

Noemi Liba
Noemi is a sophisticated vocalist, music-writer and arranger. Noemi manoeuvres effortlessly between husky and pure sounds, between the softly spoken and soaring dynamic possibilities of voice. Her string arrangements are stunningly original, and her lyrics are an honest, direct poetry, encased in lush yet cool sensual musical soundscape. Trained in Jazz, and inspired by the expansive worlds of Middle Eastern, Medieval and Chamber Music, Industrial and Trance, Melbourne / Australia-born Noemi has performed across the globe, and in collaboration with Yair Dalal and the Chicago Oriental String Orchestra, with esteemed Biennale artist Heri Dono and with Kareem Roustram, arranger for the Grammy award winning performance of Shakira, and the Melbourne Ballet Company. An intimate and uniquely passionate live artist, she is equally at home performing at the Melbourne Concert Hall, as a guest soloist at the Vodaphone Arena, at pumping music festivals and in intimate clubs. In addition to her music pursuits, Noemi has a double degree in Literature and Philosophy, is a painter and has also published a volume of poetry. Noemi Liba is based in Melbourne, Australia and in New York.

Daniel Kaplon
Daniels artistic objective is to capture graffiti images from around the world. The idea of photographing slogan type graffiti lays in the premise of recording at a point in time the history behind the statement. It is a representation of one persons character, feelings, beliefs and even humour. In 2006 Daniel created the clothing label seven breaths which uses slogan graffiti to create clothes that describe the personality, humour or some other characteristic of the wearer. Daniels exhibitions include; Melbourne Fringe Festival, Art Melbourne, Urban Graffiti and Brunswick Street Gallery Global Graffiti Solo exhibition. Daniels images will be exhibited at Chapel off Chapel for Melbourne Ballet Company Project Two.
